Pop up cloud shaped in formation of a thought process...one can easily use to give flavor to an ordinary picture - that was blah in nature but zesty and so unique to keep up close to constantly humor oneself. I love the Demo video as well. A class act. Feel free to contact me if you need further explanation of this app.

Hey Ben,

We're working on a new version of iCaptions that will natively support the iPad and the iPhone 4. It should be available in a few weeks -- unfortunately, the approval process from Apple still takes several weeks after we release it to them. The native iPad version should support full iPad resolution.

Thanks for using iCaptions!

Love the app, but found one drawback. I wanted to make a lock-screen homepage for my iPad with my return info as my caption. The saved image's resolution is significantly less than the source image. What gives?
Thanks,
Ben

Hi Tim!

If you tap the bubble you're trying to edit, you will see a small icon in the upper left corner. Click that icon (it's the edit icon) and it will bring up a new set of icons over the balloon. Now, touch the middle one (move) and drag the balloon wherever you'd like it.

One other possibility is that you've already saved your image and you are trying to reload it. Unfortunately, bubbles are not persistent across saves, so you'll have to re-open the original image and create a new balloon. This is only after you've saved the image and then exited the app though.

Hope that helps, let us know if you have other problems or suggestions to make the app better!

Thanks!

Hello,Being a Luddite trying to reform, I purchased iCaption. Like it. However where are the instructions? I know, I know, swipe it! No, not for everything. I’m trying to move the bubble to a position of my choosing but when I swipe I get another bubble. Ok, considering my Luddite status I need instruction. Your web site tells me where and how to purchase your delightful app but I CAN’T LOCATE INSTRUCTIONS. I need instructions. Help me (visualize Vincent Price saying “help me, help me”, at the ending of the movie THE FLY), sad but true.

Hi Tica!

For the quick set of instructions, you will notice a small "i" icon in the lower right of the screen. Clicking it will flip the screen over to an instruction page. In order to move the balloon where you'd like, look at the frame in the upper-right.

Once you finish typing your text, just tap once off of the window (i.e. anywhere else) to exit text edit mode. Then touch inside the balloon and swipe outside the balloon. The balloon will then enter the mode where you can move it, delete it or resize it.

We've created a video to help. You can view it above, or on youtube.com at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_xwocVs2qc

Hopefully that helps! Feel free to ask if you have more questions though!

Hi Diana, We don't yet have a place where everyone can upload artwork, but it's definitely a feature we're considering adding in the future. Thanks so much for the suggestion!
